The story of Millie's Bridal & Formal Shoppe began in 1969 when Millie Peterson started making hats from her home. Through hard work, dedication, and a commitment to serving her community, she gradually expanded her business to include accessories, shoe dyeing, alterations, bridal wear, and formal attire.

As demand grew, so did the business. In the early 1980s, Millie's moved into its historic location on South Jackson Street in Tullahoma, creating a permanent home where customers could browse formalwear, receive expert assistance, and enjoy the personalized service that would become the foundation of the business.



Over the years, Millie's became much more than a bridal and formal wear shop. It became a place where families celebrated milestones, prepared for weddings, and returned generation after generation for trusted advice and exceptional service.

In 2000, Millie's daughter, Lynn Peterson Bryce, assumed ownership and continued building upon the strong foundation her mother created.
